Our Vision, Mission & Key Principles
Our Vision
Inspiring students, enriching community.
Our Mission
Establish a high-quality charter public high school that prepares all students for college, career and community.
Our Key Principles:
We will fulfill our mission by adhering to the following ideas and principles:
- A small school with approximately 500 students, each receiving a personalized learning plan developed cooperatively with the student, parents, and a teacher-advisor.
- A rigorous standards-based academic curriculum that meets or exceeds entrance requirements for the University of California. The academic focus will be on science and mathematics and balanced through arts and technology.
- Project-based learning to develop academic, technological, artistic and social skills needed for the development of creativity, teamwork, collaboration and self-directed lifelong learning.
- Real-world experiences to provide meaningful project-based learning, community internships, and mentoring programs that draw on the strengths of the surrounding community.
- Regularly scheduled staff development and planning time enabling teachers to work collaboratively to support an integrated curriculum and differentiated instruction.
- Partnerships with parents and community members to engage them in the educational process with opportunities to observe and participate in their students’ educational progress.
