Latest updates on our efforts

On July 18, 2006, the City Council directed the development of the 15-acre site to include a public charter high school. 

We are in the process of developing a business plan that we will start discussing with city staff in early September.  The final business plan will evolve from working closely with city staff and the developer(s) selected by City Council.

Commitment to our community

Our mission extends beyond establishing a public charter high school on the 15-acre site in Foster City. We envision a new educational facility for the public charter high school as a critical element of the envisioned community center. The public charter high school will be central to the life and learning of our community.  Lifelong learning has become critical to success in today’s rapidly changing world. To meet this need, the FCHS foundation will partner with other public educational institutions, nonprofit organizations and businesses. Imagine an educational facility that will be in use days, nights and weekends.

Seeking critical talent - we need help!

The FCHSF is completely volunteer-based and consists of local residents, educators, parents, business leaders, other professionals and key supporters.  Many new volunteers have recently joined the Foundation's team and are graciously donating their professional expertise and time in the evenings and on weekends.

Even with this dedicated new talent, we are still in need of additional expertise.  If you know anyone with the following experience who has an interest in lending their expertise, please encourage them to contact us immediately at: info@fchighschool.org.
